The developer of a 54-unit apartment complex in Cambridge’s Alewife neighborhood has broken ground on the next phase of the project, the 93-unit Park 77.

Newton-based Abodez Acorn New Street LLC is developing the complex at the former J&C Adams Co. window and door manufacturing facility and warehouse on New Street. The current project is adjacent to Park 87, a 54-unit complex completed in 2015.

Designed by Piatt Assoc., the 4-story, 96,000-square-foot building will studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Completion is scheduled for mid-2019. Nauset Construction of Needham is the construction manager.

The pet-friendly complex will include a lobby lounge with gas fireplace, a terrace with gas barbeque, a café with a full kitchen, a multimedia room with surround-sound, a meeting room with built-in audio-visual equipment, a top floor sky lounge and roof deck, a fitness room and a dog wash station.
