Brookline-based America’s Test Kitchen has leased 55,000 square feet in the Innovation and Design Building in South Boston.

Twice the size of its longtime Brookline Village location, the new offices will include test kitchens and studios where “America’s Test Kitchen” and “Cook’s Country” are filmed. More than 200 employees will make the move in mid-2017.

“The demand for a much larger headquarters demonstrates our continued success and leadership in culinary publishing and media,” CEO David Nussbaum said in a statement.

Christopher Kimball founded “Cook’s Illustrated” in 1992 and added his first TV show in 2001. He left the company last year in a contract dispute.
