LINX

Macrolide Pharmaceuticals is the second life science company on the move to Boylston Properties’ speculative LINX office and lab project in Watertown.

The two-year-old venture capital-backed company which is developing antibiotics that treat life-threatening bacterial threats will move from its existing headquarters at 480 Arsenal Way to the 185,000-square-foot LINX after leasing 18,542 square feet, Boylston Properties said.

Boylston Properties is renovating and expanding the former Verizon industrial building at 490 Arsenal St. to appeal to expanding life science companies. In July, Cambridge-based C4 Therapeutics leased 45,000 square feet at Linx, which contains 185,000 square feet of office and lab space.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Duncan Gratton and Kate Lien represent Boylston Properties in lease negotiations at LINX. JLL’s Don Domoretsky and Bryan Sparkes represented Macrolide.
