A developer has proposed building 75 apartments in Quincy, on top of three retail spaces and a brewery.

Developer Eric Zhang of Bayfort Holdings did not identify which brewery could be included in the project, according to the Patriot Ledger; however, the city is the largest Massachusetts community without one. Neighbors of the Wollaston Center site have told city officials they want the city to attract a brewery to the area as part of its revitalization efforts.

The building would have seven stories along Beale Street, dropping back to four stories in the rear. The project would require demolishing a preexisting single-story retail strip and four adjoining single-family homes to make a lot just under an acre in size.
