A local film-making contest will punctuate the scheduled November opening party for a 15-screen cinema complex at The Hub on Causeway.

ArcLight Boson Cinemas release details on the contest next month, with plans to spotlight the winners at the complex’s opening party as part of its support of independent filmmakers. The contest, based upon a “24 Hours in Boston” theme, is a partnership with GlobeDocs which sponsors monthly screenings and a six-day film festival in October at various locations in Boston and Cambridge.

The two-story cinema at The Hub on Causeway will be equipped with a 65-seat bar and lounge in the main atrium open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. ArcLight’s concessions areas, Film Fare, located on both levels, will serve up snacks and drinks during theater operating hours.

The theater’s November debut coincides with multiple new elements of The Hub on Causeway and TD Garden expansion, including new seating cantilevered above the arena bowl and a members-only Rafters party deck on the top level.
