When Taunton-based Jack Conway Realtor Cleofa Rodrigues helped refer a walk-in client trying to sell a home in Argentina to an affiliated South American broker, she helped Conway earn a notable international distinction.

When the sale closed late last year, Conway earned the "Global Alliance Club Award" from the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (Leading RE). Members of the giant relocation network’s Global Alliance Club are recognized for outgoing referrals that result in closed sales across international borders, Conway said in a statement.

The sale closed in Mendoza, Argentina. The Mendoza referral came from Rodrigues after she met a walk-in buyer with a house to sell in South America. Rodrigues immediately referred the customer to Conway Relocation Director Dawn Stevens, who researched the property and placed the listing with an affiliated broker in Argentina.

"International listings are often the result of our own customers asking us to help them sell homes or land overseas," said Stevens. "Through the Leading RE, we have affiliates in 550 companies with 140,000 sales associates in the U.S. and abroad. We can literally refer a home buyer or seller anywhere in the world."
