The Innovation and Design Building in South Boston will host Hibernaculum, an art and design installation inspired by nature, during the month of June.

The exhibit kicks off with an opening reception from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Five galleries will house artwork created by David Buckley Borden and collaborators during his 2014 residency with Trifecta Editions, a Boston-based print collective that works with artists to create hand-printed screen prints and art objects. Borden is an artist and landscape architect whose work presents environmental issues in new settings.

The installation is part of the Boston Harbor Association’s Summer on the Waterfront initiative.
