In addition to Redgate’s revamp of the large South Boston Edison power plant site, the Boston Planning & Development Agency board of directors approved six other projects at its meeting last night.

In total, the seven projects will create 3,335 residential units, including 1,156 income-restricted units. Of those units, most are in the rebuilding of Charlestown’s Bunker Hill public housing project by the Joseph J. Corcoran Co. and Leggatt McCall Properties in cooperation with the Boston Housing Authority.

The BPDA board also approved an RFP for a large, publicly-owned parcel at the intersection of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Tremont Street in the city’s Roxbury neighborhood.

2,699 housing units, including 1,010 subsidized by the BHA, over 2.84 million square feet and 15 residential buildings
