A new online clearinghouse for all things development-related in Greater Boston launched last year, focusing on Boston and has since expanded into busy suburban markets.

Pulling data from various sources including public records and information submitted by proponents, Bldup.com contains photos, project descriptions, development teams and timelines for more than 370 local projects. The site is designed to help developers market their products and accelerate early-stage sales, Managing Director Gil Propp says.

Launched in mid-2015, the site contains maps and photos of project sites throughout Eastern Massachusetts and information on what companies in the development and building trades are participating.

“We’re trying to integrate all of the real estate development into one place, and provide a central resource where you can market your project and connect with partners,” Propp said.

Proponents, contractors and vendors can submit their own projects or site details and post them directly, and use it to generate leads, Propp said. Revenues come from advertisements and branded content. Expansion into other metros with booming building markets is planned later this year.

Noah Coughlin, a local mortgage broker, founded the company and brought Propp on board last year to help build out the site. A Brookline native, Propp is the founder of BostonStreetCars.com, which tracks the history of Boston’s public transit system and its influence on the city’s development and urban design.

“The work I did with BostonStreetCars certainly got me interested in urban development, specifically how cities develop and what makes development happen in certain areas,” Propp said.
