Charles River Bank

Medway-based Charles River Bank donated $1,000 to the Medway Mustang Gridiron Club that supports the Medway High School football and cheer teams.

Cornerstone Bank

Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center, an organization whose mission is to create a safe, attractive and livable community of people with varied means and backgrounds.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

With the help of its members and employees, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union collected hundreds of school supply items for the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, New Hampshire.

North Brookfield Savings Bank

Throughout August, North Brookfield Savings Bank held its annual school supply drive. Employees, customers and community members donated backpacks and shopping bags of supplies, including pencils, notebooks, erasers, pencil cases, folders and lunch boxes. When the fundraiser came to a close over 6,000 school supply items were collected to be distributed to the children of local schools.

Tremont Credit Union

Boston-based Tremont Credit Union hosted its third annual Boston Public Schools Teacher Classroom Scholarship. The credit union offers three scholarships for dedicated professionals who demonstrate commitment to their students and bring something extra special into their classrooms. The scholarship was designed to help ease the burden and expense of Boston teachers, who spend an average of $1,000 personally on their students and classroom needs. Heather Mook, a special education teacher at Ohrenberger School in West Roxbury, received a $1,500 scholarship. Tawonia Queeley, an early education teacher at Ellison/Parks School, received a $1,000 scholarship. Felicia Andre, an ELA enrichment teacher at Community Academy of Science & Health, received a $500 scholarship.
