Cape Cod Five

Hyannis-based Cape Cod Five gave $250,000 to support local organizations in their efforts to provide food and housing security across the region. The funds will be split evenly between these two important areas of need, with $125,000 extended to food pantries and $125,000 extended to homelessness prevention services and resources throughout the region.

The bank also announced a three-year strategic partnership with EVERFI Inc., an international technology company focused on driving social change and financial wellness through education and the establishment of critical life skills. Through the partnership, local schools will be offered EVERFI’s interactive, video-based financial literacy and diversity, equity and inclusion courses.

City Realty

Boston-based multifamily developer City Realty has donated several new Chromebook laptops to West End House, the largest youth development agency in the Allston-Brighton community.

Dedham Savings Bank

Dedham Savings Bank gave $10,000 to Manor Neighborhood Association. This grant will be used toward building an ADA-compliant, accessible playground in Dedham. The playground will serve children with special needs in the neighborhood, as well as the greater community and will incorporate natural vegetation, trees and a boardwalk.

Monson Savings Bank

Monson Savings Bank donated $1,750 to Rick’s Place, an organization that supports grieving children and their families during some of their toughest times.

The bank also gave $1,000 to Scantic Valley YMCA.

South Shore Bank

Weymouth-based South Shore Bank staff volunteered at Weymouth Market, a program hosted by Weymouth Public Schools to fight hunger in the community, to pass out bags of food and other items as a long line of cars passed through the high school parking lot.

The Village Bank

Newton-based The Village Bank announced it will give away $50,000 to college-bound students in the Class of 2021 in the form of 17 college scholarships.

Wayne J. Griffin Electric

Hollistion-based Wayne J. Griffin Electric gave $100,000 to several food pantries throughout New England in response to the pandemic. Employees throughout its corporate headquarters and regional office locations also participated in charitable causes that included toy and gift drives and additional financial donations.
