ERA Key Realty Services
Whitinsville-based ERA Key Realty Services announced its Whitinsville office has donated $7,866 to area charities this year, in addition to volunteering for various events. The donations, made through the ERA Key Realty Services Charitable Trust Foundation, benefitted nine area charities, as well as local schools.
Griffin Electric
Holliston-based Griffin Electric recently held its annual National Apprenticeship Week, once again having celebrated the event by recognizing the hardworking men and women who teach or are enrolled in the company’s in-house Apprenticeship Training Program. The company provided a gift for every instructor and apprentice in each of its office locations.
HarborOne Bank
Brockton-based HarborOne Bank announced that it will be donating $100,000 to Father Bill’s & MainSpring to assist in the construction of their innovative Brockton Housing Resource Center.
Kingdom Builders Worship Center
Kingdom Builders Worship Center recently hosted a Thanksgiving giveaway, with volunteers distributing over 120 meals, all at no cost, to community members in Dorchester. DoorDash funded the purchase of turkeys and other holiday staples so that area residents in need could enjoy a holiday meal.
Rockland Trust Co.
Wellesley-based Rockland Trust donated $45,000 through its charitable foundation to MassBay Community College to further invest in their Certified Nursing Assistant program.
SCU Credit Union
Brockton-based SCU Credit Union celebrated World Kindness Day all week long with acts of kindness in the local community. On Monday, Nov. 14, SCU President and CEO Glenn Parsons traveled to several grocery stores and surprised shoppers by handing out over $3,500 in gift cards to people he met in the aisles. SCU also ran a giveaway on Facebook where six entrants were randomly selected to win a $150 grocery store gift card. SCU also donated $6,000 to local non-profit organizations.
South Shore Bank
Weymouth-based South Shore Bank sponsored the creation of Massasoit Community College’s new South Shore Bank Center for Data Science and Analytics, which will serve as a “crucial resource” for the college’s new data science transfer program.
Webster Five
Auburn-based Webster Five announced an exclusive relationship with the YWCA Central Massachusetts to provide financial seminars for domestic violence survivors. The YWCA serves as part of its comprehensive domestic violence program. The $15,000 grant from Webster Five will provide the necessary funding to serve 125 people per year over three years.
