Mechanics Cooperative Bank
Fall River-based Mechanics Cooperative Bank announced its third annual “Jeans for Charity” fundraiser collected $14,490 from employees in 2022. The bank matched employee donations dollar-for-dollar. The money was divided equally among donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County and Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
Newburyport Bank
Newburyport Bank announced that its employees donated $20,963 to 26 organizations and families in 2022.
North Shore Bank
Beverly-based North Shore Bank donated $10,000 to LEAP for Education as the presenting sponsor of the nonprofit’s annual Great Expectations fundraiser. LEAP aims to empower underserved youth on the North Shore to achieve economic and social mobility by cultivating personal, educational and career growth.
RTN Federal Credit Union
Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union donated dozens of handmade blankets and $250 towards the purchase of blankets, clothing and pajamas to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ A Bed for Every Child Program.
South Shore Bank
Hingham-based South Shore Bank donated $10,000 to the South Shore Conservatory and its ImagineARTS and Creative Arts Therapies programs, two initiatives that provide access to the arts for historically underserved communities.
Wayne J. Griffin Electric Inc.
Wayne J. Griffin Electric Inc. announced several recent charitable acts in 2022 and early 2023:
- The donation of “hundreds” of toys and gifts to the Holliston Pantry Shelf and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program during the holiday season.
- A personal care item drive and the purchase of mittens for the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
- A partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital to conduct a blood drive at the company’s Holliston headquarters.
