Cambridge Savings Bank

Cambridge Savings Bank gave $100,000 to the Sustainable Business Network’s e Cambridge Equity Fund to support Black-owned businesses. On top of the grant, the bank will also provide mentorship to minority entrepreneurs, as well as small businesses underwriting training for the Cambridge Equity Fund task force.

Freedom Credit Union 

Springfield-base Freedom Credit Union gave $1,400 to Griffin’s Friends, a volunteer-led group dedicated to providing relief and support to children with cancer and their families. The money was raised through donations collected at the credit union’s branches.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union announced a $1,500 donation to the Lowell Litter Krewe, the latest gift from its quarterly “Give-a-Click” campaign where the public votes to select grant recipients.

Merrimack Valley Credit Union 

Lawrence-based Merrimack Valley Credit Union announced $10,000 worth of scholarships to three local high school and college students, all a current MVCU members or dependents of a current MVCU member. To complete their application, students responded to the essay question: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received and how did you apply it to your life?
