North Brookfield Savings Bank recently awarded a $100 gift certificate for Richard Steinhilber, of Brookfield, as the winner of North Brookfield Savings Bank’s February Hat Contest.

Seven community banks are featured in this week’s roundup.

 

Bridgewater Savings Bank

Bridgewater Savings announced that its charitable foundation donated $5,200 to EB HOPE, a nonprofit, grassroots community solution whose mission includes Help, Outreach, Prevention and Education on substance abuse issues. The foundation also donated $2,500 to the Massasoit Foundation to support the Massasoit Community College Homeless Student Emergency Fund.

 

East Boston Savings Bank

East Boston Savings Bank (EBSB) participated in the Build-A-Bed Bankers challenge hosted by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. EBSB participated in a friendly competition against the Cooperative Credit Union Association in a team effort to build the most beds within a two hours. More than 40 beds were built in total between the two teams.

 

Marlborough Savings Bank

Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation awarded the Fresh Start Furniture Program a $3,500 grant to support its efforts in providing furniture and household goods to people in need.

 

North Brookfield Savings Bank

North Brookfield Savings Bank recently awarded a $100 gift certificate to Richard Steinhilber, winner of the bank’s February Hat Contest.

 

North Shore Bank

North Shore Bank donated $1,200 to North Shore Community Action Programs Inc., which provides social services that enable low-income families and individuals to obtain the skills and knowledge they need to become economically self-sufficient, civically engaged and to live in dignity and decency.

 

SpencerBANK

SpencerBANK donated $1,000 to the Worcester chapter of StandUp for Kids, an organization whose mission is to end youth homelessness.

 

UniBank

UniBank donated $5,000 to Auburn Youth and Family Services Inc. (AYFS) to support AYFS as they work to promote healthy development of youth and families in the Auburn community.
