Changes are coming to a Seaport District property that’s been a networking hub for the local tech industry for the last decade.

District Hall operator Innovation Studio is exiting management of the 8,000-square-foot District Hall innovation center at the end of the year, following expiration of an agreement for public use of the building at 75 Northern Ave.

District Hall opened in 2013 in the early stages of the Seaport Square master-planned development, which was originally led by Boston Global Investors.

The single-story building includes meeting and lounge space and has hosted tech industry conferences, networking events and public meetings. The nonprofit Innovation Studio notified clients this week that its involvement with the property will end in December, BostInno reported. A payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement struck with the original developers and the Boston Planning & Development Agency ended on June 6, according to the Innovation Studio email.

Cambridge Innovation Center leases the property from WS Development, which acquired it and other undeveloped portions of the Seaport Square project in 2015.

WS was not immediately available for comment, but in a statement provided to BostInno, the Chestnut Hill developer said it’s planning “some refresh work” and plans to expand its programs and partners at the facility to support the local tech industry.
