43 Foundry Ave., CenterPoint in WalthamEducation Development Center Inc., an education and health nonprofit, will relocate its corporate headquarters from its Newton location to Waltham’s CenterPoint office park.

EDC will occupy 120,000 square feet when the company moves to 43 Foundry Ave. in November 2011, according to a statement.

CenterPoint, a 23-acre, 500,000-square-foot office/lab/R&D park, is approximately one mile from EDC’s current location at 55-57 Chapel St. The building is owned by TC Saracen LLC, a joint venture of Saracen Properties and Trammell Crow Co. Acquisition Funds.

The new space will house EDC’s 450 area employees. The company signed a 10-year lease for the Waltham building.

"EDC’s new headquarters will provide our organization with the space it needs-at significant cost savings-to continue to grow, delivering the highest quality health and education programs around the country and around the world," said President and CEO Luther Luedtke.

"This move allows us to take advantage of the tenant friendly real estate market as well as be more environmentally responsible-an important value at EDC," said Robert Keagy, EDC facilities manager.

Executive Director Mark Roth of Cushman & Wakefield represented Trammell Crow Co. Acquisition Funds and Saracen Properties. Robert Richards, Jonathan Varholak and Ron Friedman of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC represented EDC.
