As gambling regulators comb through all aspects of the Encore Boston Harbor resort casino ahead of its planned opening later this month, the executive director of the Gaming Commission said everything is running on schedule for the June 23 start of betting in Everett.

“The Encore opening is going at a hectic, but controlled, pace,” Ed Bedrosian told the Gaming Commission on Thursday morning. Wynn Resorts’ $2.6 billion hotel and casino in Everett is scheduled to open June 23.

Bedrosian said all of the casino’s slot machines have been verified by state gaming agents – the company has said the casino will include “3,158 classic and state-of-the-art slot machines” – and attention is now shifting to verifying the casino’s nearly 250 table games.

“They expect they will get tables games verified within about a week,” Bedrosian said. “So we’re right on schedule.”

Next week, officials from the commission, Encore Boston Harbor and the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission will conduct a walk-through of all alcohol service areas in preparation of opening, he said.

Also next week, Bedrosian said, the commission will hold a meeting at which the directors of various commission divisions will brief commissioners on the progress in their specific area of focus and will detail what still needs to be done before the opening of the state’s second full-scale casino.

“We are in a good spot but there is a lot of work, a lot of documentation, to get to the commission,” Bedrosian said. “Both the preparations for the opening of Encore and our staffing for the opening of Encore are on schedule, but it’s still a lot of work.”

Encore Boston Harbor has said it expects to receive about 8 million visitors a year, “more than the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots combined,” and the state looks set to include about $100 million casino revenue into its next budget.
