Watertown-based engineering firm VHB is the newest tenant leasing office space at Worcester’s Mercantile Center redevelopment.

The firm signed a 10-year lease for 8,700 square feet on the fifth floor at 120 Front St., with plans for 30 employees to occupy the space in September.

VHB has 450 Massachusetts employees including its Watertown headquarters and offices in Boston and Springfield.

Wellesley-based Franklin Realty Advisors and Washington Capital Management are redeveloping two office towers at 100 and 120 Front St., along with mixed-use at 90 and 110 Front St.

In February, health care staffing firm Barton Assoc. leased 14,234 square feet at 120 Front St. in a relocation of its existing Worcester offices, while Worcester-based real estate data company Location Inc. leased 4,600 square feet at 120 Front St. last fall.
