The Marist Fathers of Boston has sold its Marist House Retreat Center in Framingham for $4 million.

The two-building property at 518 Pleasant St. contains a total of 50,077 square feet of space on a 28.72-acre site. It features a 45,000-square-foot, 70-bed seminarian residence, along with a chapel, support space and administration offices.

The buyer, Brendon Properties, specializing in age-restricted developments in MetroWest, plans to redevelop the property as a senior-housing townhome community.

Robert Cronin and Kevin Brawley of Colliers brokered the sale.
