Cambridge-based Veo Robotics has leased 12,000 square feet for a new headquarters in Waltham’s 1.2-million-square-foot Waverley Oaks Park.

The announcement comes five months after Veo obtained $12 million in funding led by Lux Capital and GV, the venture capital arm of Google parent Alphabet Inc. Veo is developing artificial intelligence software for robots used in manufacturing, and the funding will accelerate Veo’s hiring of engineers and product managers.

Veo Robotics will occupy building one within the park owned by Duffy Properties with expansion capabilities, Principal Robert Duffy Jr. said in a statement. The company is expected to take occupancy after April 1.

NAI Hunneman’s Steve James, Leeanne Rizzo and Patrick Grady represented Duffy Properties. Keith Coulter of McPherson Corp. represented Veo Robotics.
