HarborOne Bank is enhancing its merchant services offerings for retailers and other businesses with by partnering with cloud-based point of sale system maker Clover.

Jim McIver, HarborOne vice president and director of cash management, said in a statement that small business clients will get access to Clover software tools that help them in tracking sales, managing employees and monitoring inventory.

Scott Sanborn, executive vice president and chief lending officer at the Brockton-based bank, said Clover’s POS solutions answer their business clients’ need for “focus in enhancing the customer experience.”

“Any client takes payment in credit and debit card. With this partnership, businesses can process those transactions whether retailers, dental practitioners, or other types of service providers. Through Clover’s solutions, our business clients can accept credit cards and this can support them in growing their business,” Sanborn said.

Under the partnership, HarborOne would earn revenue for every business client that Clover services.

“More than the revenue sharing, what is most important that we focus on is the client experience. If the client find the service easy to use, not only do we have the support for them, but we also dedicate someone to support their account and make their processes easier,” Sanborn said.

He added that the bank is constantly looking for technological partnerships to boost services involving its lending platform, deposit account opening and cash management, among others.
