An office and retail portfolio in the heart of Harvard Square has been acquired for $108 million.

The acquisition by by Asana Partners includes a 3-story, 21,352-square-foot office and retail building at 1-8 Brattle St. and a 40,506-square-foot retail building at 17-41 Brattle St. Tenants include Origins, Moleskin and Cardullo’s Gourmet Shoppe.

Asana Partners specializes in retail acquisitions and development, and completed fundraising last January for $500 million in equity commitments to its Asana Partners Fund I, which is targeting retail properties in markets including Washington, D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta and Austin.

CBRE/NE’s Capital Markets experts Dave Pergola and Brian Doherty, with the assistance of retail leasing expert Matt Curtin and office leasing expert Chuck Kavoogian, represented the seller, a private family trust and procured the buyer.
