Health care consultant DrugDev has leased 16,437 square feet at 25 Thomson Place in Fort Point in a relocation from 383 Elliot St. in Newton.

The King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based company works with pharmaceutical and biotech companies on clinical trial services.

“As demand for our solutions continues to grow, we need to remain committed to attaining and retaining the best possible talent available. Boston’s Innovation District on the waterfront is an ideal intersection of technology, life sciences and business expertise,” Brian Fisher, COO of DrugDev’s Boston operations, said in a statement.

NAI Hunneman’s Evan Gallagher and Matthew Davis represented DrugDev in the transaction. JLL’s Thomas O’Regan represented landlord Invesco Advisers.

25 Thomson Place is part of a 10-building portfolio acquired last year by Dallas-based Invesco for $183.5 million. The new owners have submitted plans to city officials to add street-level retail and restaurant space at 25 and 44 Thomson Place and 47 Farnsworth St.
