What: 10W
Where: 10 Winthrop Square, Boston
Owner: Chevron Partners
Built: 1872
Nauset Construction recently completed a series of updates at 10 Winthrop Square, a historic office building in downtown Boston which has been rebranded as 10W by owner Chevron Partners.
The project included two interior fitouts for new office tenants within the 6-story building located across from the Winthrop Center tower.
Former core-and-shell spaces were built out with a central workspace surrounded by exterior offices, glass doors and partitions and suspended lighting. Nauset reconditioned ceiling beams, exposed brick and cast iron columns and installed hardwood flooring, and built out a lounge with custom millwork and under-cabinet lighting.
Huntsman Architectural Group designed a second-floor suite for an investment firm including a gas fire pit and custom glass railing overlooking Winthrop Square. Adige Design designed the third-floor suite for an executive search firm, including a conference room with gas fireplace.
They Said It:
“As tenants downsize their office footprints, they are also striving to provide a more enticing work environment for employees returning from remote work. Nauset has delivered on the thoughtful design of these office suites, ensuring that 10W affords a comfortable workspace that promotes interaction and collaboration while also providing a welcoming space for client visits.” — Marcel Safar, founding principal, Chevron Partners
