What: Kimpton Marlowe Hotel
Where: 25 Edwin Land Blvd., Cambridge
Built: 2001
Owner: Junson Capital

Kimpton Marlowe Hotel has completed an extensive renovation of all 237 guest rooms and suites at the East Cambridge property.

Architects KKAD designed the contemporary and traditional updates including wave-patterned blue carpeting to complement the hotel’s Charles River views, channel-stitched headboards, marble-topped side tables and upholstered leather benches.

Custom ottomans are decorated with excerpts from literary figures with Cambridge ties, including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and E.E. Cummings.

Junson Capital acquired the 153,000-square-foot hotel in February 2018 for $81.75 million.

They Said It:

“Our rooms, given that they are brand new designs from top to bottom, offer some of the cleanest and freshest rooms in the market. And in this era of COVID-19, when you combine brand new rooms with Kimpton’s Approach to Clean, our guests can be assured that our guest rooms are some of the safest available in Boston and Cambridge.”
