Lee Kennedy Co. has completed construction of a new 40,000 square-foot headquarters for Meketa Investment Group at University Station in Westwood. 

Designed by Fusion Design Consultants, the fit-out within the core-and-shell base building includes a waterfall staircase connecting the reception area to a cafe and coffee bar on the second floor. The office layout includes private workstations, conference and huddle rooms and open space. Double-glazed glass was incorporated into conference rooms and other locations to provide acoustic buffering for confidential discussions. 

Owner’s project manager JLL brought the team on early during the base building construction process to help advise the builders of their fit-out plans as a way to reduce overall costs, such as leaving the stairwell area unfinished, and the slab on grade open to accommodate underground electrical and plumbing.
