Road and utility work and demolition of the former Kraft Foods Atlantic Gelatin factory buildings in Woburn has cleared the way for a mixed-use project by Leggat McCall Properties.

In collaboration with Stantec, Burlington-based Erland Construction demolished the former food ingredient processing facilities, constructed a loop road and utilities, relocated a brook and created a pad-ready site for multifamily housing, a senior living community and medical office building.

The 55-acre property is approved by 1.6 million square feet of development including housing, offices, labs, manufacturing and retail space.
