The former Blue Cross Blue Shield facility in Rockland is set to be replaced by a car dealership.

Located at 1022 Hingham St. in Rockland, the 30,000-square-foot Hyundai dealership will be managed by Westwood-based Prime Motor Group.

The project includes the demolition of the existing 100,000-square-foot building and construction of a single-story dealership feature a 27,000-square-foot, 12-foot curtain wall glass showroom and office space, as well as a 3,000-square-foot storage and parts mezzanine.

Construction management firm Integrated Builders, led by Superintendent Herb Volpe and Project Manager Brian Kidder, in collaboration with architects The Curtis Architectural Group and structural engineers Flood Consulting, has begun construction on the site.
