An all-day restaurant and cafe with a second-floor cocktail bar is the first tenant to commit to some of the 100,000-square-foot retail space at Cambridge Crossing.

DivcoWest announced that Puritan & Co. owner Will Gilson will open a cafe, restaurant and cocktail bar overlooking the Common at CX in early 2020. The restaurant’s opening will coincide with Philips North America’s opening of its new U.S. headquarters at 222 Jacobs St.

The new venue in The Shed, Cambridge Crossing’s retail building currently under construction, will offer baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and healthy menu options, including grab-and-go items.

A 60-seat full-service restaurant and 20-seat patio will open onto the Common public space. The second story will house the cocktail bar and terrace.

Gilson is owner of Inman Square’s Puritan & Co. and the Cafe Beatrice pop-up, which is part of the Zone 3 activation program on Western Avenue in Allston.
