Intercontinental Sells Government Center Office Building for $39M

A Denver real estate investment firm is the new owner of One Bulfinch Place, an 89,216-square-foot office building steps from Boston City Hall and the future State Street Corp. office tower.

EverWest paid $39 million to Boston-based Intercontinental Real Estate Corp., the owner since 1996. Tenants include the Suffolk County district attorney’s office and Boston Sports Club.

The 6-story office building was originally completed in 1971 and expanded by three stories in 1997, and a single-story addition and atrium were added to the ground floor in 1999.

According to its website, EverWest acquired the property for its core/core-plus portfolio of stabilized properties in the strongest U.S. markets.
