Lee Kennedy Co. has been awarded the 5,500-square-foot Breast Center renovation project at Jordan Hospital.
This project is Lee Kennedy’s first pairing with the Plymouth hospital, expanding its client base in the health care sector, the contractor said in a statement.
The updated space, designed by Quincy-based JACA Architects, will feature new mammography exam rooms, radiology, ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy suites, a nurses’ station and office areas.
Work is currently under way and the new space is scheduled to be finished in early October, the company said.
Lee Kennedy Co.’s team will be working in active patient areas and adjacent to an operating MRI unit.
"We are excited to partner with Jordan Hospital on this project," said Lee Michael Kennedy, president & CEO of Lee Kennedy Co. "The Breast Center renovation is ideal for our specialized team given our experience in active hospital environments. We are proud to help Jordan Hospital continue to offer high quality patient care through this much-needed renovation."
The Jordan Hospital project is the latest in a growing portfolio of health care work for Lee Kennedy Co. that includes projects at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Shriner’s Hospital, Somerville Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital, among others.
