Life Science Company Commits to 114K SF Kendall Square Lease

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals spinoff Cyclerion Therapeutics Inc. has leased 114,454 square feet from BioMed Realty in Cambridge’s Kendall Square.

The life science company’s new headquarters will share the same building with its former parent at 301 Binney, where Ironwood occupies 106,000 square feet.

“With our large collection of property in Cambridge, it’s always our goal to help tenants find the perfect laboratory space, customized with the layout and technology they need to effectively advance their science,” Morgan Weinstein, senior director of Boston leasing for BioMed, said in a statement.

Ironwood has been a BioMed Realty tenant for 14 years. The transaction brings BioMed’s local portfolio up to 99 percent occupancy.
