A tech startup founded by a former top Microsoft executive has established a headquarters at Cummings Properties’ Dunham Ridge campus in Beverly.

Blues Wireless develops cellular network-based Internet of Things appliances and was founded by Ray Ozzie, whose Westford-based Iris Associates developed the Lotus Notes application later acquired by IBM. He later served as chief technology officer and chief software architect at Microsoft from 2005 to 2010.

The new firm will occupy 4,700 square feet of R&D space. Cummings Properties’ Business Development Officer Michelle Paul represented ownership in the lease transaction.

Other tenants at the 500,000-square-foot Dunham Ridge campus overlooking Route 128 include Acculab Measurement Standards Laboratory, Microline Surgical, New England Biolabs, spmd, System 7 Wolfers and Harmonic Drive.
