The 295-unit building at 500 Broadway in Malden has been acquired for $112.5 million.
CBRE represented the seller, an affiliate of Portland, Oregon-based The Green Cities Co. CBRE also procured the buyer, an affiliate of Charleston, South Carolina-based Greystar, according to a Middlesex County deed filed June 11.
Built in 2000 and formerly known as Strata, the property is comprised of a single, five-story elevatored building that is 100 percent market rate. It has been rebranded as “Avana Cliffside.”
The community is located just north of Boston off Route 1, and has a combination of classic and renovated studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units with an average home size of 892 square feet, CBRE said in a statement.
The CBRE team included Simon Butler, Biria St. John, John McLaughlin and Brian Bowler.
