John R. Korona, president and CEO of Mansfield Bank since 2004, will retire at the end of this year.

Hingham resident Meg McIsaac will join the bank as president in July, and then become CEO in January 2019. McIsaac is currently president of Stoneham Bank, according to her LinkedIn profile, and was previously president and CEO of Holbrook Cooperative Bank for four years.

“Through John’s leadership, Mansfield Bank has doubled the size of its footprint and become a premier lender in the area,” Ken Larsen, chairman of the bank’s board of directors, said in a statement. “We have also implemented an array of technological advancements and achieved a level of fiscal strength that is enabling us to meet the financial needs of more customers in more ways.”

Korona is currently on the board of directors of Sturdy Memorial Hospital and the Sturdy Memorial Foundation. He has previously been on the boards of the Cooperative Banks Employee Retirement Association and the Cooperative Central Bank and the Share Insurance Fund.

He has been president and chairman of the Mansfield Bank Charitable Foundation since 2006, which recently surpassed $1 million in donations to local communities.

“I have always considered our bank’s community support to be a key component of how we define our success,” Korona said in a statement. “Our employees live, work, play and volunteer in local communities, and have a vested interest in this region.”

“I am so proud to have worked with the dedicated and knowledgeable professionals of Mansfield Bank these past 25 years,” he added. “Without their commitment, we could not have achieved all that we have.”
