Boston-based architectural and interior design firm Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) has promoted Barbara Hicks and Monica Katsoulos senior associates. Hicks is the director of marketing and media, and Katsoulos is the director of finance and administration.

"We are proud of the contributions and talents of all our staff, and Barbara and Monica are critical to our continued success," Marc Margulies, principal at MPA, said in a statement. "Their promotions to senior associate are a public acknowledgment of the dedicated staff who support our design work and contribute to the growth of our firm."

Hicks has been a member of the MPA marketing department since 2004. She received her bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and a graphic design certificate from Massachusetts College of Art. She is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and previously served on the SMPS Boston board of directors.

Katsoulos joined MPA as a part-time data entry clerk in 1995, and has since served in a number of accounting department roles throughout her 18-year tenure at MPA. During that time Monica has standardized many administrative procedures to improve organizational efficiency for all employees. Notably, she instituted a new CRM database and trained the staff on how to use it. She graduated cum laude from Northeastern University.
