Kimpton Hotels & Restaurant Group has sold the 189-room Nine Zero hotel in Boston to Thayer Lodging Group of Annapolis, Maryland for $85.1 million.

The sales price is just over $450,000 per room.

Intercontinental Real Estate developed the hotel in 2002 as part of its second real estate investment fund.

San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurant Group paid $69.7 million in 2006 to acquire the 19-story hotel at 90 Tremont St.

Thayer President Bruce Wiles was not immediately available for comment. Thayer Lodging owns 13 hotels totaling nearly 4,000 guest rooms, according to its website.
