Massport has selected two developers for seafood-related projects in the 191-acre Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park in South Boston.
Cape Cod Shellfish and Seafood Co. Inc. will develop the 3-acre parcel 4 to expand its existing seafood processing facility, Massport announced. And Pilot Development Partners was designed for the 6.5-acre parcel 6, which is expected to accommodate various seafood businesses. Combined the projects are expected to create more than 100 jobs, Massport said in a statement. Work on the development agreements, permitting and design review is beginning.
The companies were among a field of 10 that responded to a request for proposals. Developers were not chosen for three other parcels included in the RFP. Those parcels will be used for storage of construction equipment and supplies, activities related to Cruiseport Boston and other maritime activities, Massport said.
