112 Barnum RoadNypro recently leased 205,095 square feet of space at a high-tech industrial building in Devens.

The company, which manufactures plastic products for the healthcare, packaging and consumer electronics industries, will occupy approximately half of the 448,000-square-foot building at 112 Barnum Road. Saint-Gobain, a worldwide manufacturer of industrial crystals and ceramics systems, will continue to occupy the other half.

Nypro, which was recently acquired by Jabil Circuit Inc., plans to create 165 new jobs in the space. Bob Gibson, Ed Jarosz and Rachel Marks from CBRE represented Nypro in the transaction.

Located in Barnum Business Park, the manufacturing facility was constructed in 2008 by Evergreen Solar. The facility features oversized and complex air handling and humidification, air and process cooling, power supply and distribution, compressed air production and distribution, specialty gas distribution and waste water and hazardous material treatment systems. Hackman Capital Partners and Calare Properties acquired the facility in April 2012 and renovated it for multiple-tenant use.

The April 2012 acquisition was a three-way transaction between Hackman/Calare, Evergreen and MassDevelopment, from whom Evergreen was leasing the land. Hackman and Calare purchased the land from the state agency and Evergreen’s remaining process equipment.
