Pegasystems Inc., a business process management and software company, has leased 163,000 square feet of first class office space at 1 Rogers St. in Cambridge.

Pegasystems will occupy three floors in the six-story office building, according to a statement. The relocation and expansion space will serve as the company’s new corporate headquarters. The firm is relocating from its current 101,000-square-foot location at 101 Main St. in Cambridge.

Pegasystems was represented by T3 Advisors President Roy Hirshland and Managing Director Mark Cote in the lease transaction. The landlord, Principal Real Estate, was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle senior vice presidents John Osten and Peter Bekarian and Vice President Dan Kollar.

"We are really excited about our move to 1 Rogers St.," said Dan Ryan, Pegasystems vice president, real estate and facilities. "We will have a modern, collaborative space for our new global headquarters that will provide our employees, partners and clients with a desirable location that also provides a wealth of nearby amenities, as well as access to many public transit stations."

Interior construction on Pegasystems’ offices begins this month. Occupancy is scheduled for the end of the year.
