Meg McIssac, president and CEO, Bluestone Bank was elected 2023-2024 chair of the Massachusetts Bankers Association. MountainOne Bank President and CEO Robert J. Fraser was also elected vice president and SalemFive Bank President and CEO Ping Yin Chai was elected treasurer.

Cambridge Savings Bank

Cambridge Savings Bank hired Carlos Osornio as head of operations and service. Prior to joining CSB, Osornio was executive vice president and drector of bank operations at TowneBank in Suffolk, Virginia.

Chestnut Hill Realty

Brookline-based Chestnut Hill Realty founder and CEO Ed Zuker is being given the JFS Max Michelson Humanitarian Award at Jewish Family Service of Metrowest’s 33rd Annual Seize the Dream Gala.

City of Boston

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu named Katharine Lusk as the first executive director of the city’s new Planning Advisory Council, a body consisting of city department heads meant to coordinate city planning efforts. Lusk was most recently co-director of the Boston University Initiative on Cities, an interdisciplinary urban research and policy center co-founded by former Mayor Tom Menino. She previously served as policy advisor to Menino.

Fidelity Bank 

Leominster-based Fidelity Bank promoted Kate Blanchette as an assistant vice president and mortgage production supervisor.

The bank also hired Evan Zalios, a former Abington Bank mortgage loan officer, as a home loan specialist focused on Needham.

Leader Bank 

Arlington-based Leader Bank has hired Alex Dozier as a vice president and relationship manager for its Elevate Banking team. Dozier will be based on the West Coast and, along with the rest of the Elevate Banking unit, charged with advising and assisting high-net-worth clients.

Mass. Housing and Shelter Alliance

The Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance has named senior director of policy and programs Joyce Tavon as its new CEO. Current president and CEO Joe Finn will remain president but give up his CEO role as he attends to health issues.

National Fire Protection Association

The National Fire Protection Association named former senior MEMA staff member Tom Lyons as its new director of communications.

The Savings Bank

Joseph T. Scurio was promoted to senior vice president and senior commercial banking officer at Wakefield-based The Savings Bank.
