A Montessori-inspired daycare center will occupy the entire first floor of The Rand, a condominium development by Cambridge-based Urban Spaces and StoneRiver Properties.

Rock and Roll Daycare leased 3,500 square feet for its music-infused program for infants, toddler and preschool at the condo complex located at 1975 Massachusetts Ave. in Porter Square.

RRDC already operates five daycare centers in Cambridge and has another five scheduled to open this year.

The condo project includes 19 one- and two-bedroom units and a three-bedroom detached single-family townhouse, all of which were pre-sold prior to completion in 2017. The complex was designed by Prellwitz Chilinski Associates and built by Urban Spaces Construction using modular construction techniques.

The Rock and Roll Daycare lease was brokered by the Conviser Property Group and Horizon Capital Realty.
