Somerville’s Assembly Row has landed another high-profile corporate tenant with PUMA North America’s lease of 150,000 square feet, representing 50 percent of the new office building under construction at 455 Grand Union Boulevard.
The shoe manufacturer will relocate 450 employees from Westford and downtown Boston upon the building’s completion in early 2021. Designed by Jacobs, the 13-story building will have 550 parking spaces and 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Assembly Row master developer Federal Realty Investment Trust previously leased up 100,000 square feet of office space at the development’s 450 Artisan Way building and developed a 730,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for Partners Healthcare.
Federal Realty has permits for another 1.5 million square feet of office and lab space at Assembly Row.
Federal Realty was represented by Joseph P. Flaherty and Ben Coffin of JLL. PUMA was represented by Michael Joyce of Cushman & Wakefield.
