Related Buys $74.5M Charlestown Industrial Portfolio

The Related Cos. has acquired a three-building industrial portfolio in Charlestown including a self-storage facility and space leased to The Broad Institute of Cambridge.

The $74.5 million transaction includes 6 Bunker Hill Industrial Park and a pair of properties at 420 Rutherford and 440 Rutherford Ave. on an adjacent 3.8-acre parcel.

CBRE’s Scott Dragos, Chris Skeffington, Doug Jacoby, Tony Hayes, Tim Mulhall, Roy Sandeman and Dan Hines marketed the properties on behalf of the seller, Center Court. The properties include potential for future redevelopment, Dragos said in a statement.

The 420 Rutherford Ave. property is leased to Cube Smart for a 645-unit self-storage facility, while the fully-leased 440 Rutherford Ave. contains flex and R&D space.
