A jewelry store that offers a “ring bar” updated on a weekly basis and piercing studio is coming to Boston’s Seaport District this month.

The 129 Seaport Blvd. location is the fifth in the U.S. for Mejuri, which says it’s redefining how women shop for jewelry with a direct-to-consumer business model, plus lounge seating and consultation areas in its stores. Mejuri designs its own jewelry, which is manufactured by third-party firms, and rolls out new products on a weekly basis.

Festooned with hanging ivy inspired by Boston’s collegiate architecture, the 1,350-square-foot space is scheduled to open March 14 and will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Venture capital firm New Enterprise Assoc. provided $23 million in series B funding for Mejuri’s expansion in 2019.

Updated 1:45 p.m., March 6: This post has been updated to include additional information about Mejuri’s business model.
