Rockland’s Holiday Inn has recently opened under new management as a DoubleTree.

Hanover-based Linchris Hotel Corp. will manage the 127-room property at 909 Hingham St. The building has undergone a multimillion dollar renovation, which involved removing the spiral staircase in the lobby and wooden reception counter. The new lobby incorporates an open design with a contemporary look. A fresh market area has been added to provide premade sandwiches and assorted beverages.

The guest rooms now have new carpeting, draperies, bedding, bathroom fixtures and 44-inch HD TVs. The second-floor restaurant has also undergone an extensive renovation. Other amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, outdoor heated pool and 4,000 square-feet of meeting space.
