Rockland Trust this week announced a slate of promotions to its executive leadership team.

The bank named Pamela L. Frey as executive vice president of consumer and business banking; Jennifer Marino as chief marketing and customer officer; and Debra Smith as director of banking and digital operations. Marino had worked as Rockland Trust’s chief marketing officer since 2015, and Smith was director of banking operations. Rockland said that Maria Harris would also join the bank’s executive leadership team as director of human resources on May 1.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Pam Frey to Rockland Trust and that Jen Marino and Deb Smith have agreed to take on additional, important responsibilities,” Christopher Oddleifson, president and CEO of Independent Bank Corp. and CEO of Rockland Trust, said in a statement. “Rockland Trust is focused on continuously improving the value we provide to our customers and the experience our customers have when engaging with us. We are fortunate to have Pam join our team and to have talented executives like Jen and Deb ready to assume expanded roles.”

Frey previously worked at CommunityOne Bank in Charlotte, N.C., as executive vice president of consumer banking. She’s also held leadership roles over more than two decades with Wachovia Bank and First Union. At Rockland Trust, as a member of its executive leadership team, she’ll oversee the bank’s more than 100 retail bank branches, as well as business banking, premiere banking and the customer information center.

Meanwhile, Marino will lead customer experience efforts, along with her current role leading marketing. She joined the company in 2015 with 20 years of brand marketing experience for financial services and consumer companies. Before joining Rockland Trust, she was a vice president and senior manager at Liberty Mutual, focused on customer advocacy.

In addition to continuing to lead operations, Smith will be responsible for oversight, enhancement and expansion of digital banking. She joined Rockland Trust in 2012 from the First National Bank of Texas, where she was executive vice president and Bank Secrecy Act officer. She’s also held roles at Sovereign Bank and Bank Boston.
