Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling and his wife Shonda Schilling sold the Medfield home they bought from former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe for less than half of the $4.5 million they paid for it.

After several years on the market and several price reductions, Lewis Morse LLC bought the 26-acre property at 7 Woodbridge Road in Medfield on July 11 for $2 million. The 11,000-square-foot home, built in 1997, has seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three half bathrooms.

The grounds also include a tennis court, a batting cage, a swimming pool, hiking trails and a putting green.

Schilling, a six-time All-Star who played on two World Series championship Red Sox teams, founded a video game company in Rhode Island in 2006. When that company went bankrupt in 2012, Schilling lost the $50 million he had invested in it. In 2013, his family sold off many of their personal items in an estate sale at the property.

The Schillings own two other homes in Medfield, according to assessor’s records.
