A growing surgical robotics firm is expanding at a Waltham property that previously was the headquarters of Boston Dynamics.

Vicarious Surgical Inc. will relocate and expand into Lincoln Property Co.’s 78 Fourth Ave. after committing to expand into 30,000 square feet, just eight months after relocating to Waltham from Charlestown.

LPC Senior Vice President Tim Latham represented Vicarious Surgical in both the original relocation and the latest expansion.

“Increasing our physical footprint allows us to more than double our capacity for development, testing, and manufacturing. This expansion will ultimately enable Vicarious Surgical to welcome broader hospital and surgeon engagement,” Vicarious Surgical CEO Adam Sachs said in a statement.

The firm went public in September following a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) deal valued at $1.1 billion. It’s developing robotic applications for surgery.
